We have been so excited about all of the new deliveries that have been arriving over the past month and finally had a chance to shoot some of our favourite pairings. To start off our Charlie Jade delivery was full of gorgeous patterned silk dresses that added a beautiful pop to each rack. The first brightly patterned Charlie Jade dress looks great next to one of our new favourite t-shirts by Wkshp and a gorgeous multi coloured knit by Maison Scotch. The second look also includes a bright water coloured Charlie Jade dress with shoulder cutouts, a flared tunic tank from For Love & Lemons, a staple army jacket by Maison Scotch and a feminine high-low pleated skirt by Velvet Heart. We have accessorized with new arrivals by local Dolorous jewellery, new Brave leather belts and a piece from Wildfoxs’ first jewellery collection. Our racks are smiling again, full of personality and ready for spring!

After posting about Wildfox’s new summer lookbook yesterday, today we have images of new pieces that we’ve received in the shop as part of our first spring delivery. With a touch of pastel and a nod towards the wild west, we’ve fallen hard for the simple graphic tees and ethereal knits from the White Label collection.

A few favourites from thr Wildfox Summer ’12 lookbook, ‘Sirene’.

As all of you know we love our Wildfox here at Bicyclette so there is no surprise in picking Wildfox co-creator Kimberley Gordon as our muse this week. She is an artist, photographer, designer, dreamer and daily inspiration for us as she has such unique perspective on the world around her. Her blog ilovewildfox is dedicated to inspiring other artists ’create, learn, photograph, paint, design, party, dress up, and be happy’. When you are having one of those days, her blogs constant supply of images and ideas can be just what you need to put a little pep in your step. Plus she is responsible for all of our favourite and most comfortable t-shirts and for that we cannot adore her enough!

Indulging our love for pastels once again, Wildfox’s Spring collection for the White Label is cleverly named ‘Pony Tale’ and filled with airy knits, whimsical prints and a pale palette.

“… we might not be able to play with Barbies and Rainbow Brite, or create fantasy worlds in plastic castles on the floor, but we can do all those grown up things we dreamed of when we were little girls.

We can wear a lavender mini dress with flouncy sleeves and sparkling stars, we can kiss boys and run down the beach at night, we can fall asleep on the sofa with all our girlfriends watching 80′s movies, we can wear high heels and have wild adventures and, if we want, we can see the world.

The things we lose are not really lost, they shaped us growing up and still exist as fairy tales waiting to come true.”

We’ve been waiting for our delivery of Wildfox Sparkle Heart Jumpers for awhile now, so when they finally arrived today, it seemed appropriate that we jump right in and share them with you. With five different colour ways, there’s one for everyone, and we decided to take a slightly different approach and style them by colour for this post. This is probably our favourite silhouette from Wildfox, with it’s slouchy, vintage-wash silhouette, incredibly soft feel and perfect layering potential. And who can say no to a sparkly heart? The only problem is trying to decide on one colour.

With our resort collection from Wildfox delivered this past week, it seemed a fitting time to put together a few outfits with the new pieces. The collection has a bit of a preppy vibe, with a lot of polo and horse imagery, so we took on the task of dressing them up a little and giving them more of a Holiday twist.

With a new arrival two fun Wildfox pieces we could not resist an outfit post to show them off. They are both fun statement pieces so we wanted to show how wearable they both are at the same time.We layered the lipstick jumper over a lace dress with gorgeous detailing, added a scarf, neutral bag/boots and let the pop of pink do the talking! The Stones Fan Club tee is very cool so we tucked it into our new vegan leather pencil skirt and added a few gold details. Our love affair with Wildfox is stronger than ever!

DAILY INSPIRATION: WILDFOX SHOWROOM .

We always love the opportunity to peek into the workspaces of other inspirational businesses, so when Kimberley Gordon of Wildfox posted images of the showroom on her blog, it was the perfect opportunity to take a look at the behind-the-scenes set of one of our favourite lines. Not to mention the fact that there are a number of previews of the new jewellery line, their collaboration with Jeffrey Campbell, and the expanded White Label collection that is launching for Spring ’12. Talk about eye candy.

We’ve definitely drawn inspiration from the space, and with the white and pastel palette, feminine feel, vintage details and touch of whimsy, it’s very in line with Bicyclette. And can we please talk about those swings? Currently brainstorming ways to incorporate that idea into the shop. Love the merchandising possibilities they would present!
