With an order of Deux Lux that just arrived and a few pieces from Lauren Elan‘s new collection, we had fun playing with new accessories and styles that touched on brights, florals and pastels.

I had the pleasure of meeting Gloria a few weeks ago at The Clothing Show, and have been a longtime reader of the blog, which made the discovery even better.

She’s wearing the Dolce Vita Sylvia dress, one of our favourites from the Summer collection and perfect transitioned into Fall with tights and leather, exactly how Gloria styled it.

Where has the summer gone? But a new month means a new advertising opportunity, and this month I am pleased to be sponsoring Sterling Style. One of the reasons why I chose this blog in particular is because I feel that Taylor’s aesthetic and style are closely aligned with that of Bicyclette, and her and her blog have always been a source of inspiration for me. I love her tendency towards romantic and feminine pieces while still incorporating edgier accents and unexpected details into an outfit. I believe this collection consists primarily of reissues of their bestselling, classic styles. I think the blurb from their blog sums it up nicely:

“When you start to feel down about the weather or your location, just take a local tour bus ride or a road trip to LA. That’s what we did! When you are with beautiful, Australian “it” girl, Tiernan Cowling, and Mark the Cobrasnake, life is always a vacation; Especially now that Tiernan’s moved to California. We chased her down Hollywood BLVD, sprawled out across the stars, bought maps to the stars homes and filled bags with fake oscars. We ran to the top of the tour bus right before the driver left, the air felt great up there as we whizzed past In N Out burger and Chateau Marmont. I don’t read magazines nearly as much as I used to, partially because I find a lot of the styling unwearable and the clothing out of my reach, so instead I turn to online sources.

Garance Dore, with her witty, honest writing style and beautiful photos of beautiful girls is always a pleasure to look at, and I love the simplicity of her one shot per post style. Today’s outfit inspiration is drawn from here, and I think it’s perfect for the transitioning of seasons and the onset of light layers.

There’s something about letting a little lace peek out and embracing the lingerie-inspired trend with a soft palette of neutrals and blush tones. And so, I decided to piece together my own outfit.

I happen to already own this gray lounge dress, so I might have to attempt this look myself, I’m just missing the perfectly-edged lace dress.

And that bag, what do you think? I’m a little bit obsessed with it … and the whole line, really.
