We’re always excited to bring in new lines, and LA brand Lauren Moshi is no exception. With it’s original prints and incredibly luxe fabrics, it fits in perfectly with the rest of the Bicyclette mix. The simple, comfortable silhouettes and gorgeous hand drawn illustrations mix what we love best and is destined to become a casual favourite.
“Lauren Moshi creates unique pieces that are meticulously crafted in limited quantities. Every mark, every line on every piece is hand drawn by Lauren. Each garment is an original piece of artwork.”

We received three new printed dresses from Charlie Jade, and with the temperature dropping, were inspired to get our layer on and play with different combinations. It’s easy to fall into a rut of the familiar denim and knits, so we wanted to showcase a number of ways that you can still wear your favourite dresses and make them more season appropriate. With a lot of our knits in greys and neutrals, we wanted to feature the perfect pop of colour in each outfit, which is the perfect time to play with prints.

Start with a printed dress. Layer a bright coloured blouse. Toss on a chunky cropped knit. Add a structured purse and a unique necklace.
And the final instalment of the June Lookbook, and quite possibly my favourite grouping of the bunch due to the lovely bicycles that we used (how fitting) and the feminine outfits. We have an abundance of printed pieces in the shop right now, ranging from traditional florals to stripes, from graphic prints to fun animal prints, from ethnic prints to heart prints, and we’re loving the fun and quirky styling options they lend themselves to.

How to lounge in the park, Bicyclette style. Bright colours, prints, books and flower crowns.
I think this might be my favourite grouping from the shoot, using the fox mask and the letters and various other props from the store. The girls are wearing two of my favourite printed dresses, styled with faded light denim and the always essential tangled jewellery. Pretty sure this is going to my summer wardrobe, right there!

It’s a gloomy and grey Monday morning, which I believe calls for some inspiration, in this case from Orla Kiely and her gorgeous 70s-inspired Spring/Summer ’11 shoot. The colour palette and faded sunny tones are perfection, and being a recent member of the girls-with-bangs-club, I’m naturally drawn to the carefree style. Now if only I could get my hair that long. Loving the polka dots and tiny prints. Oh, 70s era inspiration, how I love thee.

I was delighted when I received a surprise package from Little Fille a few days ago, containing two new pieces from the SS ’11 collection to sample. Bicyclette began stocking the collection of headpieces in the online shop for AW ’10, and we’re looking forward to accessorizing with the new season just as much. Bright colours, prints and bows? Yes, please! For the rest of the lookbook images, take a peek at the Little Fille blog.
