As promised earlier this week, we are going to be introducing a number of new local labels to the shop, that we discovered at The Clothing Show! After strolling through all of the vendors, and picking up some great vintage luggage pieces to display in the store, we came across a specific label called The Make Den, and instantly fell in love! The clothing is all vintage inspired and fits in perfectly with our aesthetic at Bicyclette!
We are thriled to be increasing the number of amazing local Toronto labels available in the shop and will continue to introduce them to you throughout the next few weeks!

We’ve been (not so) patiently waiting for our Butter London delivery, and today we finally received the first of two orders, with lots of bright colours to fulfill all of your summer nail needs.
Here’s a peek of the new colours!

Pillar Box Red & Yummy Mummy

Teddy Girl, Primrose Hill Picnic, Macbeth & Blowing Raspberries

Cheeky Chops & Diamond Geezer

Dosh, Thames, Artful Dodger & Royal Navy
I’ve mentioned before that one thing I really want to explore as the shop grows is the opportunity to bring in other products that complement the mix of clothing and accessories, and add to the overall aesthetic of the space. We’ve started to do this with the addition of a few makeup products and Butter London nail polish (which has been met with rave reviews and a need to place an immediate reorder, so thank you!). I’m always on the lookout for additional opportunities, so when I started chatting to Lynsie Roberts about potentially displaying and selling some of her Coney Island prints in the shop, it seemed like a match made in heaven. Not only am I in love with Lynsie’s style and her work (I posted her ‘Summer Love’ editorial here), but the pretty little packages of prints we’ll be selling make for the perfect gift, either for yourself or a friend.
We should have them up by the end of the week, but for now, take a look at her work and pick out your favourites. Personally, I have my eyes on the donut print and the lonely beach palm tree.

Discovered a forgotten pack of Fuji Instax film on Sunday morning before our April lookbook shoot and went a little crazy with behind the scenes snaps. I’m glad I did.
Coming soon!

I just had to post this picture, from A Beautiful Mess, because it’s pretty much the perfect inspiration and hint at two projects I’ve been working on today for shop displays. Hopefully done and photographed tomorrow! But for now, any guesses?

I’ve been a horrible blogger this past week, and instead of providing a daily countdown to the shop opening, I’ve been neglecting the whole process, let alone posting photos and updates. Trust me though, I have a very good excuse, and it’s all worth it. I’ve never worked so hard, slept so little, or tackled such a huge project in such a small amount of time, but I couldn’t be happier with the challenge and the results. Thank you to everyone who helped out along the way, I couldn’t have done it without you, and I am so very grateful.
Yesterday Bicyclette opened the doors at 880 Queen St. West here in Toronto, and it was pretty fantastic. I’ll be snapping photos of the interior today, including some of my favourite new pieces, but for now, enjoy this little snapshot of the current window.

I’ve been busy working on the store and getting everything prepared for the store opening this Saturday, but I just booked the Fall collection of Wildfox White Label, so I wanted to share.
I’m currently in LA for a last minute, uber-quick buying trip, so follow me on Twitter for updates and photos.
Shooting new product today, lots of the lacy nudes and infusions of bright colours and prints. Spring’s around the corner, I swear.
Just arrived from Evil Twin (sister line to MinkPink): The Nowhere Fast Mesh Oversized Top. So amazing. Slightly sheer, button up front with a shirttail hem, perfect for layering and wearing open or done up. Can’t wait to style this beauty.

This spring, it’s all in the details, and we’re loving everything that has that little bit of extra embellishment. Lace and silk are a few of our fabrics of choice, and anything feminine tickles our fancy. I thought we would share some our favourite close-ups of the new styles we’ll be shooting this week.
