As all of you know we love our Wildfox here at Bicyclette so there is no surprise in picking Wildfox co-creator Kimberley Gordon as our muse this week. She is an artist, photographer, designer, dreamer and daily inspiration for us as she has such unique perspective on the world around her. Her blog ilovewildfox is dedicated to inspiring other artists ’create, learn, photograph, paint, design, party, dress up, and be happy’. When you are having one of those days, her blogs constant supply of images and ideas can be just what you need to put a little pep in your step. Plus she is responsible for all of our favourite and most comfortable t-shirts and for that we cannot adore her enough!

Lola is our free-spirited wanderer, with an eclectic style and a penchant for mixing prints and taking risks. She doesn’t shy away from the bold or bright, and her bohemian flair always lends itself to an inspiring palette and mix of pieces.

Lola wears bright Joe’s Jeans in ‘Geranium’, with a graphic printed Lauren Moshi tee layered under a One Teaspoon lace cape. We’ve accessorized her with leopard MIA flats, a leather trim Scout & Catalogue pouch, a stack of mixed bracelets and a statement necklace top it off and add the eclectic elements that she’s recognized for.

After posting about Brigitte Bardot last week we’ve decided to add a regular ‘Monday Muse’ post each week to celebrate women who inspire us. Who better to start off this tradition than the wonderful Jackie Kennedy! She effortlessly mixes her innate grace and beauty with daring and fun pieces that are now both iconic and celebrated worldwide. Most famously she is known for her strawberry pink Chanel suit, the one she wore on the day of her husbands death, which is now regarded as one of the most legendary articles of clothing in America history. Alice’s style tends towards classic femininity with a chic twist. With a touch of prep and a love for separates, she’s never met a polka dot or pearl she didn’t like.

Alice is channeling our love for pastels with Joe’s skinnies in ‘Thistle’ (the perfect pale purple) and an ivory silk blouse from Champagne & Strawberry that has the prettiest scalloped hem. Layered with a relaxed For Love & Lemons blazer, tangled pearls from Lauren Elan and accented with MIA studded loafers and a vintage purse.

Introducing the Girls of Bicyclette, with today being the first of four. These profiles will tie in over the next couple of months as we reveal more of our project and the details start to come together.

Phoenix is a downtown girl with a flare for cool street style. She makes edgy look effortless with her deconstructed glamour.

As we receive new styles for Spring, we’ll be showcasing them styled in accordance with the personalities of each girl. Today Phoenix layers a Joe’s pullover with leather accents over a punchy polka dot blouse. We paired it with Factory’s vegan leather pencil skirt and added a studded bag and wool hat.

Today’s my birthday, so I’m playing hooky from the shop and my computer for most of the day (simple indulgences!), but wanted to leave you with a few images that have me inspired these days. It’s important to me to constantly gather visual inspiration (one of the reasons why I love Pinterest so much), and it’s nice to see it pieced together as part of a collection, a snapshot of a moment in time, where my head was at, and what my eye was drawn to.
