It’s the final day of the Bicyclette Holiday Pop-Up Shop. Single tear. How fitting that it ends on the last day of 2010? On to the next!
We’ll be open from 10 to 4 today, and all clothing is 30% off the marked price. We’ve been marking items down all week, so the discount can add up to 70% off.
In my video production class in my final year of school, each little team had to come up with a name for our “production company”. We chose Sparkle Magic, which is pretty indicative of how much I love anything with sparkle, glitter and the like, and why this slight obsession has carried over to Bicyclette. But surely you’ve realized that by now.
So without further ado, I present to you the final photos from our shoot: The Glitter Photos. This little impromptu shoot inspired a decision that every shoot we do from now on contains some sort of confetti-like prop. Suggestions welcome.

With minds turning to New Years Eve and another wave of festive happenings, it’s time to unveil the full photo shoot we did a few weeks back.
Featuring a slew of party-ready looks, we’re hoping it will provide a bit of inspiration for those facing the “what do I wear?” question. And the best part? Everything is available at the Holiday Pop-Up Shop, and we’re open until the 31st, so you still have five days to swing by and get yourself outfitted.

Merry Christmas!
Hope everyone enjoyed their day, however it was spent, but now it’s time to turn to other important matters. Such as Boxing Day. We’ve decided to offer 30% off (almost) everything at the Pop-Up Shop. This will exclude consignment items and be a one day only affair, from 10 am to 7 pm. So we urge you to shop independent, wander down Queen St. West and take advantage of this limited time offering.
And for those who aren’t in Toronto, we’re also offering the discount online, between 10 am and 7 pm EST as well. Use discount code BOXED10 at checkout to take 30% off.
See you tomorrow?
After taking the day off yesterday, the Bicyclette Holiday Pop-Up Shop is open today through Friday. We’re even putting out a few new pieces from Splendid, Heather, and Little Fille.
See below.
First of all, can you believe there’s only five days until Christmas? How did that happen?
I just wanted to share a little daily inspiration, especially because these decor images remind me a little of the aesthetic I was going for with the Bicyclette Holiday Pop-Up Shop, and they’re so magical. White fur, vintage luggage, a pale palette and luxe details.

A weekend full of photo shoots means some seriously amazing photographic magic. Styling and shooting looks at the Holiday Pop-Up Shop was probably the smartest idea I’ve ever had, especially because we had access to all of the amazing jewellery and makeup that is being sold at the shop for a limited time, so the options were endless and there was lots opportunity for creative styling. Masks, strands of layered and tangled jewellery, and glitter seemed to be the theme and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
Here’s a preview. More to come tomorrow.

The last few days have been insane, setting up the Holiday Pop-Up Shop and making sure everything was in order for today’s opening. Somehow we made the deadline and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The space is gorgeous, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves!
Open until December 31, at 972 Queen St West.
We’re eagerly counting the days until the Bicyclette Boutique Holiday Pop-Up Shop for three main reasons:
1. The opportunity to transform an empty space into a temporary shop and work our magic on the blank canvas. Visual merchandising and the creativity it entails is always a favourite aspect of retailing, and we couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity! The theme? Winter Wonderland: sparkly, white Holiday magic.
2. Getting to see all of your pretty faces! One thing missed most in the online world is having that face-to-face interaction and getting to meet new people. Can’t wait!
3. Personal shopping. This is the dangerous part. We’ve invited a few new local designers to participate in this event, which means that we’ve got our eyes on a few new pieces for ourselves as well.
Lauren Elan Collections is one such designer, creating beautiful statement jewellery that sparkles and shines and has us swooning. I’ve already but in my order for the ‘Abbey‘, a tangle of pearls and rhinestones that is the perfect marriage between rock and romance.

What a long weekend, but oh-so-worth it! I’m taking the night off in preparation for another crazy week ahead as I move into the new Holiday Pop-Up space and set up the store, but I wanted to share some photos from the displays this weekend. Decided to get a little festive with the new glitter Bicyclette sign and twinkle lights. Tomorrow I’ll be announcing some exciting news and previewing some new pieces that will be at the shop, opening on Thursday!
