Lot’s of pattern play today as we mix in some of the newest pieces in the shop with some classic favourites. We’re having fun with our colour palettes and bringing in bright pops of neon and faded pastels for that perfect summer feel. With the La La Land delivery finally arriving earlier this week, we’re loving the styling possibilities that the fun animal prints offer and the twist on the basic tee.
We decided to take a few of our favourite street style shots that showcase spring/summer trends and create outfits based on them, focusing on the elements that we believe really make the look and giving them a Bicyclette spin. With an order of Deux Lux that just arrived and a few pieces from Lauren Elan‘s new collection, we had fun playing with new accessories and styles that touched on brights, florals and pastels.

Often associated with cooler temperatures and a need to layer for warmth, this season we’ve been seeing a lot of lightweight sweaters in open knits that are perfect for throwing on during the transitional months and on those cool summer nights. Wildfox‘s White Label collection always offers a selection of airy styles, and the ‘Prairie Rose’ Lennon Sweater captured our sartorial hearts at first sight. With a slightly sheer, perfectly distressed and slouchy silhouette and an allover floral pattern, it’s become an easy favourite, ideal for layering over delicate slip dresses, lace shorts, and denim alike.
With Coachella weekend upon us and a summer of music festivals and adventures ahead, our minds are on mixed prints (think leopard and floral), neon bright accents (especially in lace), and the perfect accessories (delicate gold spikes and floral crowns top our list).
You know we don’t need an excuse to style outfits around pastels and florals, but with Easter Weekend upon us, this feels like as good a time as any to break out some of our favourite feminine pieces.
We just can’t get enough of styling spring outfits and playing with all the new pieces in the shop.
Leopard and floral are definitely our two favourite prints of the year! We’ve decided to put them up against each other to see who comes out on top! We love our feminine and whimsical floral prints, especially when contrasted with dark leather or chunky accessories but we also love our leopard to add a fun punch to every outfit whether it’s a scarf for a day of shopping or a mini dress for a night out on the town. This may be a cruel and impossible decision for some to make but we want to know which is your favourite? Can you choose?
Having a bit of a love affair with floral docs paired with feminine dresses. Unexpected juxtapositions, my favourite.
And the final instalment of the June Lookbook, and quite possibly my favourite grouping of the bunch due to the lovely bicycles that we used (how fitting) and the feminine outfits. We have an abundance of printed pieces in the shop right now, ranging from traditional florals to stripes, from graphic prints to fun animal prints, from ethnic prints to heart prints, and we’re loving the fun and quirky styling options they lend themselves to.

A couple of weeks ago, we put together some pretty outfits and headed to Trinity Bellwoods Park (which is conveniently located just east of the shop) and shot the lovely Tiffany and Emily frolicking in the park. With a focus on bright colours, quirky prints and layering essentials, we couldn’t have asked for a more quintessentially summer lookbook for June.
