(Summer’s been busy, we apologize). But we’re back with a vengeance, styling a gorgeous Heather charcoal grey maxi dress, which appears simple but offers so many layering options that we’re convinced it’s one of Fall’s best styles.

We knew we wanted to glam it up for one of the outfits, but still keep it simple and let the dress speak for itself. Et voila - a sequin sash, antique gold necklace (Eden) and snakeskin clutch

Layering knits is one of our favourite things about Fall, and this cropped style from Covet is just about perfect for every day dressing. Add a silk mix tie-dye scarf (ScarfParty) and leather trimmed clutch (Scout & Catalogue) for that pop of colour and print

The perfect graphic tee is a Bicyclette staple, and we love this pastel-hued style from Something Else layered over the maxi for an unexpected mix. A few accessories, such as the leather satchel (Scout & Catalogue) and the stacked necklace (Dolorous) add personality and a little edge

We just received our first shipment from a new label that we are carrying at Bicyclette called Groceries. Groceries has some amazing basic pieces that are made of 100% Certified Organic Cotton. This white tee made by Groceries is priced at $48 and has a cool unique hem line. Not only would it look amazing with simple skinny jeans and a great necklace, but we styled it with 3 very different looks to show how a little bit of layering can turn a basic tee into such statement piece.

After strolling through all of the vendors, and picking up some great vintage luggage pieces to display in the store, we came across a specific label called The Make Den, and instantly fell in love! The clothing is all vintage inspired and fits in perfectly with our aesthetic at Bicyclette!

We are thriled to be increasing the number of amazing local Toronto labels available in the shop and will continue to introduce them to you throughout the next few weeks!

The weather has been so gloomy this week in Toronto that we’ve been searching for inspiration to keep our energy levels high. After blasting old-school Spice Girls tunes 3 days in a row, we decided to play dress up at Bicyclette. One of our models and sales associate extraordinaire, Emily, had a very creative idea. She decided to tie up one of our favourite Micheal Stars t-shirts into a cute skirt. We love how you can turn a super soft basic tee into a one-of-a-kind, comfy skirt. Who doesn’t love clothes that can be transformed into other pieces? WE DO!

Turqoise bow belt. Probably one of the cutest ways to cinch your waist.

Crazy? Perhaps. But you can’t tell me your mind hasn’t started wandering in that direction even a little.

I’m adding a few styles to Bicyclette’s pre-spring orders, and I’d like your opinions. One of my favourite little lines from California have come out with a new sister line, full of pretty feminine details, silk styles and vintage silhouettes. I can’t wait to add some of these pieces to the mix.
