Playing with confetti and balloons, of course! Bicyclette teamed up with the ever-talented photographer Sian Melton and the lovely Tiffany (who was our very first model on the site) for a February photo shoot that involved all things pink and pretty, and styled up some of the new pieces that will be arriving in the shop in the next few weeks. Needless to say, we have a newfound appreciation for the colour pink.

Ever since my promotional bicyclette photo shoot, I’ve been drawn to them as a styling tool and visual device. There’s something so whimsical and magical about them, and their temporary existence adds an element of mystery. Here are some of my favourite images…

This makes me want to do another photo shoot… play around with balloons a bit more, maybe go for something a little more girly and dreamy. I was actually thinking that I may do another series of photos (or two), capturing different sides of bicyclette, maybe by focusing on different seasons or whatnot. So the next one could be something a little more light and delicate, playing with softer light and colours. Hmmm… another project to focus on in all my free time?
