Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and if anything, we’re using it as the perfect excuse to add a dash of sparkle and an extra heart or too into our lives. We styled a new window on Friday (which we’ll share soon) and are shooting another mini lookbook this week, so we’re currently all about gathering worthy inspiration.

Ban.do‘s lookbook is pretty much perfect, which is fitting considering their dedication to all things feminine and whimsical and the heart motif that finds itself on many of their pieces.

If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll already know that this past week we received our first shipment from LA line Wkshp at the shop, and we’ve been swooning over it ever since. It’s one of the many new lines we’ll be bringing in this season, and we’re incredibly excited about the simple and soft silhouettes, and the bold, colourful graphics. With a great price point (the tees are generally $50-60) and a number of amazing options, we’ll be receiving the line monthly from now on, and are looking forward to styling it for you.

We’ve had a number of requests for more ‘Outfitted’ posts, so as we began to receive our Spring pieces (and trust me, February is going to be packed with new deliveries), we’ll be sharing as much as we can here on the blog. For today, here are a couple of the styles we received this week, plus a number of our current favourite accessories that are perfect for layering.

Now's the perfect time to get creative with transitional dressing, mixing Spring's pastels and bright with neutrals and layers

We love the graphic print on this tee and the textured mix of blues and greens offset by the white outline

A wool cowl is a great way to winterize an outfit, especially with a brooch or pin to liven it up

Pistachio hues are popping up on our nails, and on this La Raffinerie necklace, with golds and a bright blue bracelet from Lauren ELan

Add bright punches of pink and yellow to an otherwise black and grey palette

A hand-dyed silk scarf by Denj is such a great way to add colour, especially offset by gold baubles by Lauren Elan

Loving the ombre fade effect in this graphic print

MIA loafers are always a great way to finish off an outfit, and Butter London's 'Black Knight' adds that always-essential dash of sparkle

MEET CHLOE .

Chloe is our dreamer, and can often be found wearing feminine silhouettes with whimsical details. With a tendency towards soft palettes and anything adorned with lace, she doesn’t shy away from pretty pieces or anything fairy tale inspired.

Chloe is wearing a Champagne & Strawberry dress with gorgeous lace cutouts, and we’ve added a gold buckle belt in the same colour and a gold pearl and chain necklace to accent it. With a black suede bucket bag from Brave and black tights, we’ve dressed her in an outfit that can be worn now and easily transition into spring.

SPOTLIGHT . MEET LOLA

Lola is our free-spirited wanderer, with an eclectic style and a penchant for mixing prints and taking risks. She doesn’t shy away from the bold or bright, and her bohemian flair always lends itself to an inspiring palette and mix of pieces.

Lola wears bright Joe’s Jeans in ‘Geranium’, with a graphic printed Lauren Moshi tee layered under a One Teaspoon lace cape. We’ve accessorized her with leopard MIA flats, a leather trim Scout & Catalogue pouch, a stack of mixed bracelets and a statement necklace top it off and add the eclectic elements that she’s recognized for.

ARM PARTY . TAKE 2

With the new collection of Butter London arriving earlier this week, and some new bracelet options starting to trickle in, we decided to repeat our arm party feature from the summer and load up our wrists for a little accessorizing fiesta. So with a mixture of new options and old favourites, voila!

When the temperatures drop and we’re forced to bundle up, there’s nothing like a bright lip and fun accessories to keep us stylish and warm while we battle the elements.

Keiko Lynn provided us with a little inspiration to do just that, rocking a gorgeous velvet headband from Little Fille (of which we have a few options in the shop) and a hot pink lip (one of our favourite shades, surprise surprise). A pretty perfect pairing to beat these winter blues, if you ask me.

We love our sparkle here at Bicyclette, so we decided to top up our jewellery and accessories with some new pieces as we wait for our SS12 deliveries. Lots of glittery goodness and bright colours, with so much styling potential. The perfect way to get creative with your current wardrobe and add a little flair.

Now that 2012 is upon us, we’re in full new year planning mode, and getting ready for the upcoming Spring season. By the end of the week we’re expecting a delivery that’s full of accessories that will take us into the next season, and we’re most excited for these neon skinny belts. We’re picturing them worn right now, layered over neutral knits for a pop of bright colour.

We’ve been waiting for our delivery of Wildfox Sparkle Heart Jumpers for awhile now, so when they finally arrived today, it seemed appropriate that we jump right in and share them with you. With five different colour ways, there’s one for everyone, and we decided to take a slightly different approach and style them by colour for this post. This is probably our favourite silhouette from Wildfox, with it’s slouchy, vintage-wash silhouette, incredibly soft feel and perfect layering potential. And who can say no to a sparkly heart? The only problem is trying to decide on one colour.
